Can't remember the file name? Try "last year's expense report" or "the doc about our caching design". The model runs on your Mac.
Time and place in plain words
Write "last month" or "invoices in Downloads" right in your search. The timeline shows what changed recently.
Bookmarks included
Search Chrome, Edge and Safari bookmarks alongside your files, and spot dead links and bookmarks saved in several places.
Let Claude find it
Connect Claude Desktop or Claude Code in one click. Claude searches first, then reads just the sections it needs, so answers come from your own documents.
Stays out of the way
Indexes incrementally in the background and slows down when your Mac is busy or on battery. About 80 MB of memory when idle.

Indexing, search and the semantic model all run on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no telemetry.
Read-only
Memtrove never changes, moves or deletes your files.
Sensitive folders
Mark folders with contracts or medical records as sensitive: they still show up in search, but Claude can't read their contents.

FAQ
What happens when the trial ends?
Your index stays up to date, but the app only searches by file name. Full-text and semantic search, the preview and Claude are paused, and come back the moment you activate a license — no re-indexing needed.
Does it need to be online?
No. It connects once to activate, then works offline.
Does it support Intel Macs?
The first version supports Apple silicon only.
Which languages does it support?
The app is available in English and Chinese. With the optional Enhanced model, search works across languages — ask in English about a Chinese document, or the other way round.
Will Claude see all my files?
Claude only sees what it searches and reads through Memtrove, and only after you connect it. What it reads is sent to Anthropic under Claude's terms; mark folders as sensitive to keep Claude out of them.
